TiO <sub>2</sub> bunchy hierarchical structure with effective enhancement in sodium storage behaviors

Bronze phase TiO2 [TiO2(B)] has great research potential for sodium storage since it a higher theoretical capacity and ion mobility compared with other phases of TiO2. In this case, preparing porous TiO2(B) nanosheets, which can provide abundant insertion channels, is the most effective way to improve transport kinetics. Here, we use strong one-dimensional nanowires as matrix stringing these nanosheets together through simple solvothermal method build bunchy hierarchical structure [TiO2(B)-BH], fast pseudocapacitance behavior, high structural stability, ion/electron transport. With superiorities design, TiO2(B)-BH (131 vs. 70 mAh g−1 [TiO2-NWs] at 0.5 C). And worth mentioning that reversible up 500 cycles still be maintained 85 rate 10 C. Meanwhile, also further analyzed mechanism ex-situ X-ray powder diffraction test, proved stability in process sodiumization/de-sodiumization. This strategy uniformly integrating into extended electrode material structures energy devices.
